This home office remodel features my (second) home office, or what I affectionately call the ‘blog office’. Located in our smallest guest bedroom, this space is home to my crafting equipment, sewing machine, printer, etc.

It’s important to separate work and life – even ‘blog work’ – so, much like my first floor home office, this space can be closed off during non-working hours. Plus, Kevin loves not having random clothing and goodies scattered throughout the house. Win-win!

Before the Craft Room/Home Office Remodel

It was pretty raw. Just a few boxes, a 2×2 cube shelf from our condo’s guest room and a few extra pieces of still-homeless home decor. My ring light lived in here but was always moved for filming because there was no reason to shoot footage in this blank space. The closet was our games, crafts and misc. storage space.

After: Finished Craft Room/Blog Office Reveal

It’s a total 180 degree turn! Let’s break down the spaces by function within the my brand new blog office.

Lounge shopping: bean bag // pillow // clothing rack // wall art // curtains // gold lamp
Workspace shopping: sewing machine cover // Cricut cover // white hp printer // lamp // wall prints
Mirror shopping: sewing machine cover // Cricut cover // white hp printer // lamp // wall prints // mirror // gold vase // ring light (Amazon best seller) // 2×2 cube shelf // wicker baskets // acrylic calendar

Desk & Workspace

I reupholstered this bench for an updated look (you can see the previous orange floral in earlier photos or in this post). My wall art was actually a custom order (original, very similar design tagged) from Etsy and the frames are from Michael’s.

The desk is one of my few to do’s left in this space, but given the size of the current desk it works SO well, so I’m not in a hurry to buy a new one. May try and find a way to refinish the top and paint the metal to just change the aesthetic. Leave tips & ideas in the comments!

Lounge Space

This bean bag is the BEST. It serves as a chill space to read, create or relax, and fits perfectly in here. I’ve also been known to pull it out into the loft to watch TV because it’s so cozy!

My Amazon clothing rack is SO affordable and pays for itself in convenience during my Instagram try ons. I highly recommend this piece to my blogger pals looking for a cheap and effective way to wrangle all their goodies.

Try On Mirror & Content Calendar

This calendar area may be my favorite space because it’s the command center of my blog office. I’ve been eyeballing an acrylic calendar for months and finally found one at a reasonable price point that I could customize.

We tried to DIY an acrylic calendar and let me tell you – even as seasoned DIYers, it was just too hard. It requires more tools than the average Joe has home and while we purchased the few we needed, we also ended up cracking the acrylic… several times. I highly recommend this one; the gentleman I worked with couldn’t have been nicer and my calendar was PERFECT!

Pro tip: hide markers in a cute decorative vase. You can’t even tell they’re there. Also recommend these clickable markers… so fun and easy to use!

What was your favorite upgrade from this home office remodel? Anything I missed that I need in this space? Always love hearing your feedback!
