Being an avid monthly box subscriber myself, I posed the idea of getting one for Bickell for Christmas and Kevin was all about it. We just did the one month box to see how it was and we ended up being pretty happy with the spoils it delivered! Thus, Bickell and I decided to share a Bark Box review.

Bark Box Subscription Review

Bark Box for the Humans

There’s a users manual that explains what’s in the box and how the monthly subscriptions work for folks who’ve never done it before. Their branding is truly spot-on for dog obsessed hoomans.

With the thumbs-blessed assist, Bickell was able to open the box and start rifling through his gifts. The assist was very small, he’s knows what he’s looking for…

…and in this case, it was a pork chew.

Bark Box Pork Chew Treat

As you can read the pork chew is all natural, with no fillers, by-products, or preservatives, which made me a lot more comfortable allowing him to eat something that I haven’t yet done extensive vetting on.

Next, let’s discuss the packaging.

I appreciate a company with a sense of humor! This was printed inside of our box.

Bark Box Toys

In addition to some delicious treats, we were sent two really high quality toys in our box. Shocker, he was not as interested in these immediately because they didn’t smell like pork. However, they’re REALLY cute and seem extra durable, and also hilarious to the two-legged subscribers.

Crinkle Bear Bark Box Toy

We received a sherpa boot and a black bearskin rug with two squeakers in its butt cheeks. Just amazing. Plus, he loves flat, crinkly toys, like the bear, more than the traditional fluffy ones.

Bark Box Treats Review

My sister worked at a small pet boutique that really backs the healthy dog food and homemade treats they sell. When I showed her, she recognized the Bixbi Bark Pops name right away. They’re essentially a smaller, bland version of Cheetos Puffs. That description is per Kevin, who literally tries everything we feed Bickell because, “if I’m feeding it to him, I need to make sure it’s okay“. Excuse me while my heart melts! They’re less than 4 calories per treat so you can feel less guilty about your pooch’s snacking.

I served the Bixbi Bark Pops in a small dish on New Years Eve. Who doesn’t love feeding the cute dog at the party, right? Since we don’t feed him scraps we always serve a small dish of treats on the buffet clearly marked for canines so guests can give Bickell something special, too.

Bark Box Treats Review

The Koha Jerky Strips will be very much so enjoyed as well given his affinity towards the Pork Chew (which was gone within 10 minutes of opening his box), and they are grain-free which is wonderful considering most grains are just in food and treats as cheaper filler and not adding great value to your pet’s diet in the long run.

Suggested Improvements

My only suggestion would be to offer bimonthly or quarterly subscriptions instead of monthly only. The boxes are full of so many goodies that it’s too much for one 30 pound dog to enjoy in 30 days.

Christmas Ornament

Otherwise, I think Bark Box is doing a bang up job with the hilarious toys and the quality of their products. Good products for mom, good treats for the pups!
