A seasoned blogger, I’ve been contributing to my blog for more than 10 years. Since 2018, my site has seen exponential growth and my content has flourished as a direct result of a 24/7 creative mindset. My heart is poured into everything I craft and my passions have become my priorities.

My Family
When I’m not working, I’m with my husband, Kevin and our rescue, Bickell, watching reality TV (any Bachelor Nation fans out there?!) or enjoying the Chicago weather while it’s in season.
We love adventure, good food, living a full life and everything home ownership has to offer. We’re big on well-being and self-care in this house. Stay active, care for yourself accordingly, and eat well. However, we also firmly believe in balance. My simple to follow recipes definitely include dessert!
My Roots
I come from amazing, hard-working, handy, artistic roots dating back to my grandfather owning his own paint store when I was a child. Talk about some solid DIY lineage! Kevin is also very handy, and his hardworking hands have really fueled our DIY prowess.
For context, since moving into our house in March 2018 we’ve already finished the entire kitchen, installed a patio and fire pit, landscaped/mulched the backyard, and installed beautiful farmhouse feature shelving in our main room. And that’s just what’s gone live so far! Follow our New House Updates saga for the latest on how we’ve turned a builder grade house into a warm home.
