My Personal Valentine’s Day Outfit
Kicking it off with the outfit you’ll likely be catching me in this heart holiday. I brought y’all this black halter sweater earlier this month and even then I was pretty sure I’d be rocking this beauty on the big date. The sweater is SO comfortable but still provides you a different stylish look. I’m pairing with these light denim jeans and OTK black fabric boots – both of which are also Prime finds.
These boots comes in over a dozen colors, including this spring-to-fall burgundy. Some styles and colors are as low as $16 right now so hop over to shop yourself a bargain!
(Love) Note: the jeans come in a bunch of colors, I also have one of the black pairs (as seen later). Those run smaller/true to size whereas these lighter ones ran a bit bigger. The brand that makes these boots also makes the other pair shown later and I absolutely love them both, so I’m speaking from experience as someone who owns two pairs from them. Highly recommend their products!
Pieces I Own and Love
This vest though 😍😍😍 Is this not the most wintery formal piece?
I bought this vest in black & white in October and jumped at the chance to own it again in black & red, specifically for winter/Valentine’s Day. Wore this to work last week and felt wicked good (and comfortable). My pleather boots weren’t in yet (below) so I wore my flat black fabric boots and tights, but for date night, I recommend these OTK ones again.
(Love) Note: This sweater also comes in a beautiful burgundy to pair with your favorite black cardigan or vest. My go-to gold chain zipper clutch also comes in red (and a dozen other colors) so you can pair it with a black dress or any other basic black ensemble for a pop of color!
Warm Weather Valentine’s Day Outfit
February in Chicago is the heart of all things cold, so my odds of wearing any of these warmer finds on February 14 are low… but that’s not the case for everyone, thankfully!
I own this red romper and it’s SUPER cute and versatile! For instance, it’s a different take on the typical date night outfit or works great for vacations and I’m here for it. This turtle tank is wicked soft, so I recommend tucking it in to a denim skirt or jeans with some heels and a long pendant necklace for a warm weather date night ensemble.
(Love) Note: These heels date back to a September wedding outfit and I didn’t put it together until now, but they’re the SAME BRAND as my two pairs of boots in this post. All purchased separately, but I didn’t realize it was the same brand/store the second time. Needless to say, I highly recommend them! Regardless of brand though, make sure your strappy heels have a thicker wedge like these. Your feet will thank you later.
Fancy Date Valentine’s Day Outfit
Hitting that hot new restaurant or a trendy new spot in town? Turn heads with something bolder and eye catching, for instance this romper or one of these gorgeous patterned dresses. The jacket tagged is from Nordstrom and is one of my absolute favorites! It’s a splurge but it’s one I’ve worn over and over. [edit] In fact, I love this brand’s jackets so much I bought this cognac brown one at the 2020 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year!

Casual Valentine’s Day Outfits
Fun fact: mine and Kevin’s very first Valentine’s Day was at a local Chicago pizzeria for heart shaped deep dish and it’s still one of our absolute favorite Valentine’s Day dates! No fancy attire necessary. Dress up, dress down.. just come dressed. Perhaps in some of these cute but casual options for your browsing pleasure?
Looks like the white heart sweater sold out but tbh I am kind of falling in love with the black and gray ones more. The white one is more off white than I expected. Also, can confirm, that highly buzzed about Amazon puffer coat is everything and more! I bought it in this red color and it runs very true to size and the best part? There’s adjustable side zippers, perfect for those of us with a little extra 🍑🍑🍑 to keep warm.
