The first weekend in February we had our maternity photos taken. Given the weather we opted for an around-the-house photoshoot, which came out so nice and cozy!
Our photographer was the wonderful and talented Vanessa Buholzer, who also was the main photographer for our wedding. I love how we’ve come full circle now with a baby on the way! If you’re in the Chicagoland or southwest Michigan area, check out her website here for your next photography session.
These photos are primarily for us (and baby girl) to be able to look back on, so there isn’t much commentary or captioning. However, I love sharing our favorites with friends and family and the blog makes that super easy to do. So enjoy these shots, and let me know with any questions in the comments section!
I’m sharing our photos in four different sections. We had some taken in our living room and loft, then the nursery. Afterwards, we got a little more casual for some and then did a more formal outfit change. Living Room and Loft Photos
The pink maternity dress I wore for most of our photos was from Amazon in size XL. It was extremely comfortable and I’m looking forward to getting some use out of it hopefully even after baby.
Nursery Photos
We took these photos all in the nursery. Keep in mind, this was nearly two months ago now, and it’s come a long way! Read the full nursery tour post to see how much has changed since the photos in early February.
Casual Maternity Photos
Vanessa suggested we change into something casual and take a few shots, and I’m glad she did. I didn’t even have an outfit ready, I just grabbed some maternity jeans and a white maternity top and boom, casual! We took these in a mix of the nursery and the loft.
Formal Maternity Photos
Would you believe this red maternity gown is from Amazon? This dress was very cost effective considering I’m likely only wearing it this one time. No need to spend hundreds (or even over $50!).
