I’m naturally very fair-skinned but LOVE taking advantage of the warm, sunny weather. Particularly to be as bronze as I can while the summer lasts in Chicago. In the interest of being safer now and not leathery later, I’ve pledged to start being proactive about my skin care regimen (for both summer and all year). If Ellen can look 40 at 65, then so can I. Coola Sun Care is my favorite go-to line of summer skin care protection. See which Coola products comprise my trusty lineup.

Coola Skincare Products

Let me introduce you to my new favorite obsession: Coola Sun Care products. After some research and receiving a few samples in my Birchbox, I am a proud owner of some full size Coola products; they’re an incredibly worth-while investment if you’re a sun lover such as myself.

Let me break down the products I’ve sampled.

Coola Unscented Sunscreen Spray

My favorite part about their sunscreen is that it’s unscented. I enjoy getting outside during lunch at work and I don’t want to come back inside smelling like the beach. Not to mention, your coworkers probably don’t want to smell potent sunscreen either.

The ingredients are largely organic and the formula is water resistant which are pluses in my book. I actually found this particular bottle at a lower price on a whim at TJ Maxx, which was a pleasant surprise. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for an everyday, subtle layer of full body UV protection.

While I can’t find this exact bottle in circulation anymore, this Unscented Coola Sunscreen looks to be the new equivalent. Or you can try this Tropical Coconut Coola Sunscreen if you’re looking for a beachy vibe!

Coola Mineral Liplux SPF 30 in Nude Beach

This lipstick-looking tube is an SPF 30 lip protector that comes in various shades. The product is formulated to add a layer of protection to your lips because those will burn, too. A lot of people don’t realize that until they feel how bad lip burn can hurt!

These are available at Ulta in either a single pack or a trio (trust me, skip right to the trio). Of course, my Nude Beach color happens to only be available in the Beauty and the Beach Liplux Trio pack. However, the Coral Reef color looks like a beautiful, bright color if you just want to try one first!

Coola Sport SPF 50 Moisturizer/Coola Face Sunscreen

This product was formulated to be ultra water resistant up to 80 minutes and provide extra moisturizing properties. However, my sleuthing skills tell me they no longer make this exact product. The link I had directly to the Coola website is broken and a quick Google search tells me it’s been replaced.

Coola Face Sunscreen

What I did find though, is this Coola SPF 50 face sunscreen that looks to have been the replacement. It comes in White Tea and fragrance free, and both sound great. Typically face-specific sunscreens are formulated to be lighter and less harsh on your pores. If you’re in the market for heavy duty facial protection, give this product a look.

Coola Makeup Setting Spray

Can I get a YAASSS? This is my favorite product by far (UPDATE, years later: still my favorite Coola product). After just a use or two of the sample in my Birchbox I ordered the full size product knowing this would be a long-term relationship. Not only do I feel great about my face’s UV protection but my makeup also holds up much longer.

I keep the sample size in my desk at work for a midday refresh and fill it from the full size as it depletes. Given the green tea and aloe, I’d assume the formula is also naturally great for your skin. Green tea wakes up the complexion and aloe is known for soothing the skin. The bottle I have pictured is from 2016, but this is the same Coola Makeup Setting Spray linked here.

Coola Radical Recovery After-Sun Lotion

I’ve only used this product once so far, but like with all the others, it was a good experience. Sticking with the natural formula, this is your post-sun skin hydration step. If you’re looking to close the loop this would be your new aloe gel replacement. I’m excited to use the Coola After Sun Lotion more as the summer progresses.

Coola Sun Care Products After Sun Lotion

I’m always the first one to look for a less expensive means of reaching an outcome to keep a budget, but it’s important to not skimp on skin care. Especially sun care in the summer. You wouldn’t skimp on a coat in the winter, right? This after sun lotion is only available online, so be sure to add a tube on your next Ulta order. Or maybe it isn’t the Coola Radical Recovery After-Sun Lotion for you, but definitely look into higher quality sun care products if you find yourself outside often. You won’t regret it!

Have you used any of these Coola sun care products? What is your go to line of sun care protection? I’m always looking for recommendations.
